As a business entrepreneur, James H. Diaz, CCIM successfully built a number of profitable businesses over the years and in 2001 was awarded the Small Business of the Year Sky High Growth Award by Asheville Chamber of Commerce before establishing himself as a commercial broker and property developer with the firm of George W. Morosani and Associates. During his tenure there he launched two successful new property holding and management corporations, both of which he continues to manage as principal. Jim is a graduate of Millsaps College with a Bachelor or Arts in History, cum laude. James H. Diaz, CCIM, Principal of CoveStar Investment Realty Advisors, has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation conferred by the CCIM Institute. The CCIM designation is awarded upon completion of a post-graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis, and form a business network encompassing 1,000 markets throughout North America. Of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners in North America, only 7,000 currently hold the CCIM designation. Jim specializes in property sales, acquisitions, and management. Jim is an officer of the Asheville Business Achievers Association, a member of the Asheville and Hendersonville Chambers of Commerce, the Asheville Board of Realtors, the Commercial Investment Realty Association of WNC, and the Partnership for Economic Development. Jim's experience with multiple product types in various stages of their lifecycle is the key to quickly assessing the challenges and opportunities facing real estate investors and developers, and ultimately Jim has the skills necessary to make the decisions necessary to adapt to the market conditions we see today.
